Library Homework???
Sometimes homework can be fun – such as when Book Fair is coming! Our librarian, Mrs. Mayer, has assigned homework to all students in recent weeks. What is the homework? To tell parents about the Book Fair and start discussing ways to acquire a few dollars to spend! Students have mentioned some of these ways: returning bottles and cans; using allowance or birthday money, searching the couch or car, asking grandparents to do extra chores. There are many other creative ways your child can earn money for Book Fair. The average prices this year for paperback books range from $5 – $10.
Students have also been creative with ideas about healthy snacks to bring for Family Dessert Night on Thursday, March 25 from 4-7PM.
Mrs. Peabody and Mrs. Mayer are searching catalogs for special books to buy with the coins collected during Book Fair. These coins will contribute to the Bangor Savings Bank matching funds challenge.
